No hot water? There are a few components we see on a proper water heater installation.  Shutoff valve and an expansion tank on the cold water line.  The expansion tank can be anywhere on your cold water main line, but typically we see it near the water heater.  Earthquake straps secure the water heater in place during the event of an earthquake, reducing the chances of the unit moving and breaking the water lines.  Stands help get the water heater off the ground and come in various sizes.  Water heater pans collect water from the pressure relief valve discharging.  Inside an electric water heater you can service thermostats and elements.  Inside a gas water heater you can service a thermocouple, the burner and on the outside there is the gas control valve assembly.  If you are experiencing hot water issues, contact Hydro Plumbing for a water heater installation, water heater replacement or water heater repair.  Ask us about tankless water heaters if you are interested.
